A hacker group intends to destabilize the socio-economic situation and spread panic. For this purpose, several massive attacks on the infrastructure of a critical facility are planned

Each team's infrastructure will be subjected to several successive massive attacks, and points will be awarded for repelling them, as well as investigating and reporting the incidents. In the qualifying stage, 3 teams with the highest number of points will be chosen to enter the final of the cyber championship.

In the final of the cyber championship, 3 teams that have passed the qualifying stage compete with each other and gain points for the effective protection of their infrastructure. The winner will be the team with the highest score.

What software will be used for the Cyber Championship?
The infrastructure is deployed on OC Linux and OC Windows. We will tell you more about the list of software used at the briefing before the qualifying stage
Is it possible to participate anonymously in the Cyber Championship?
If you do not want to publish the name of your organization, write to us about it. We will not post this information and will only indicate the name of your team
Which security technologies will be used for the Cyber Championship?

The following security technologies are provided for the qualifying stage:

  • Kaspersky Unified Monitoring and Analysis Platform (KUMA), Kaspersky Endpoint Security (KES) (Kaspersky Lab)
  • NGFW Continent 4 (Security Code)
  • OpenVAS on participants' devices
Are there any general meetings with all the teams before the Cyber Championship?
Prior to the start of the qualifying stage, the organizer and technological partners of the Cyber Championship (Kaspersky Lab and Security Code) will conduct a series of briefings in an online format to familiarize participants with additional information about the Cyber Championship, as well as details of the functioning and configuration of information security tools pre-installed in the infrastructures.
Is there a participant's guide to get acquainted with all the conditions of the Cyber Championship?
Prior to the start of the qualifying stage, the organizer will send materials and information, including the participant's guide, to the participants of the Cyber Championship qualifying stage.
Are there any requirements for the knowledge and skills of the participants in the Cyber Championship?

The following requirements are imposed on the participants of the qualifying stage of the Cyber Championship:

  • Understanding the basic principles of information security
  • Skills in monitoring, investigating and countering cyber attacks
  • Knowledge of the principles of working with CERT
  • Ability to work with ISTs of the following classes:
    • NGFW
    • Endpoint Security
    • IDS/IPS
    • SIEM
    • We also recommend that you study NIST SP 800-61 Rev. 2 "Computer Security Incident Handling Guide".
